I have numorous impliments building up in my garage. I have a back that comes and goes also. Was wondering if anyone has ever built stands to keep their impliments in a ideal position to back up to and hook up? If so how about a few ideas on what it should look like?

I just keep mine on wood blocks and dollies. But Mark had a good idea for a PHD. He strapped the PHD to a hand truck, which served as both a stand and an easy way to move the bulky implement around. If I ever get a PHD that's the way to go. ....

I am constucting a stand on casters for my mmm. What I am planing has couple of uprights, a cross bar, a lip on the front of the horizontals (to which the wheels will mount) to catch the mower. Material will be square steel tubing. The mower should be able to tip back into the stand and be secured (no excuse not to sharpen the blades). It will then take less storage room and be able to be moved easier. Weight is considerable so lifting with a fel or a boom on your 3-point will be safer and easier. This does not address mounting, but in my case the storage makes sense.

I have a rolling stand for my BH. Basically it's a T shape of bolted together 2x10s with four large casters underneith. The stabilizer feet rest on the top of the T and the bucket on the bottom of the T. It rolls around pretty easily on a hard surface and makes hookup easy too.

HD pallets with casters at each corner work well on cement or asphalt.

I took a slightly different approach based on how we do it in the shop.
I bought some used snap together pallet racking and lined one wall of the shop. I dis-mount an implement onto a heavy hardwood skid then use forks on the FEL to place it in it's place on the racking. Everything goes into 16'x4' of floor space.

Great ideas guys! I definetaly need to be able to move impliments around easily. My back is not so good sometimes. I plan on making a roller stand for the rotary cutter and would like to make stands for the rest of them for positioning. Just wanted to make sure someone dont market stands cheaper than I can make em out of wood and it sounds like the home made wood stands is the way to go. Murf your idea would be great if I had more head room, I dont have a ploe barn just a regular garage but I will keep my eyes open for that kind of system for in the future I am sure I will build a small ploe barn with 12-14' walls to be able to get larger equipment in a heated area for work. Thanks for you ideas ....
